About me
My approach to tarot: I believe tarot helps people reflect on their lives and make decisions which are aligned with their higher selves. I believe anyone who has a sincere interest in learning the science and history of the tarot can have the ability to read the cards. My goals as a reader are to help you love yourself more, grow more confident, have happier relationships and live in good health. You can contact me with questions or to schedule a reading online at arcanaanswers@gmail.com. I am currently reading in-person in Baguio City by appointment.

My Story
Until I was 19 years old, I considered myself a proud agnostic. That was, until I started reading religious texts and spiritual literature for myself. Through the help of a few very dear friends and my own investigations, the reality of oneness in the universe and my place in it became clear. I belive we are all part of a greater whole, and we each have a unique role (or energy) to play out while in this particular life in place and time. Throughout this journey, tarot has been a consistent source of light and grounding. It was introduced to me while I was a university student, around the same time I was becoming immersed in religious materials such as the New Testament, the Bhagavad Gita, and literature from Rudolph Steiner and other great spiritual philosophers.

I started to practice Tarot professionally in 2020. For the first ten years of reading, I read exclusively for myself, as a way to reflect on what was happening in my life and what I was doing to create these situations. Then, in 2018, I began reading for friends privately and at public gatherings. People were always in awe the accuracy of the cards, and they felt empowered to make better decisions and accept the ups and downs of life more smoothly. When the pandemic hit in 2020, I decided to start reading for friends and strangers online as a way to provide calmness and clarity in an unusually uncertain time. I was amazed by the number of people seeking guidance from the cards for all kinds of issues, especially in career and romance. The smiles and sighs of relief of people from the wisdom of cards was the greatest reward from reading for others, as at this time I was not charging for my services. In late 2022 my attitude towards Tarot changed when my mentor and dearest friend passed away, and with him halted his great legacy of Tarot reading and art.

Robert James Prokop died on August 17, 2022 from epileptic seizures. He introduced to me Tarot and many of the profound spiritual wisdom I had known throughout my life. He was an exceptional artist and a professional tarot reader. He had been my best friend since our earliest years of primary school and I had always looked up to him for guidance and perspective on spirituality, tarot, and all matters in life. With his passing, I want a way to honor his legacy by continuing the proliferation of the knowledge, practice, and service of tarot for myself and others. I believe there is a wide space for more people to bring the wisdom of tarot to the world. Tarot is a fundamental tool for helping us realize our full potential through our masculine and feminine energies. By understanding more deeply the masculine/feminine (or yin/yang, and many other terms) energy and our unique blend of these essential life polarities, we can all live our lives with more satisfaction and purpose. If you have read this far, I greatly appreciate your patience and curiosity. More about me:
I was born and raised in California in the United States, growing up in a mixed religious and cultural family. Both my parents were raised in California; my father came from eastern European Jewish decent and my mother from Catholic Mexico. We celebrated essential holidays but religion and spirituality were never at the forefront of our lives. Because of this upbringing, I had the freedom to explore religion and spiritual knowledge freely. Intellectually, emotionally, and experientially, I was able to sense and develop my connection to the infinite without inhibitions. I had no aversion or bias to the words of one teacher over another; all knowledge flowed into me freely and my ability to use that knowledge to develop my wisdom came without restriction. When I came to believe that all religions and spiritual philosophies come from one source, and the purpose of life is not to follow one path strictly, but rather to gather knowledge and wisdom and allow our unique path to unfold, I began to rigorously study and practice many spiritual ways. I am particularly grateful for the words of Jesus Christ in the New Testament, the Bhagavad Gita, Zen Mind Beginners Mind, and the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda and Mokichi Okada for providing monumental steps in my spiritual development. Currently, much of my energy goes into tarot and indigenous knowledge. In addition to tarot, I am also an educator, researcher, and supporter of the evolution of consciousness. I have a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine and a M.P.S. in International Agriculture and Rural Development from Cornell University. I also served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Lesotho and the Philippines. Most recently, I completed a Fulbright Fellowship to conduct participatory research on indigenous farming practices in the northern Cordillera mountain range of the Philippines.
